When you arrive on the campus of Aleppo University, students have erupted into chants calling for freedom and solidarity with the protesters in Daraa. You videotape the mass growing and the passion with which they yell every word. You understand their frustration and know how tyrannical your country has become, but at the same time you also know that these small student protests will not be the thing that enacts regime change. When you take the video home, you edit it in a way as to accentuate the drama and tension. It's the only way to get people's attention, you say to yourself. And you're right, about 2,000 people watch the video in the first day. It's nothing special, but it's a place to start. Then, you wonder how else to garner international attention...
