Appearance: Deep wrinkles permeate Abu Aarif's face as it seems that the stress of the Syrian uprising has aged him significantly. He wears beige cargo pants and carries a backpack, in which he always has water, cookies, any other sugary treats. These things help him, and those he works with, maintain their energy amidst the chaos of battle. 

Political Slant: A Shia Muslim by birth, Abu Aarif fled his religious base when the uprising started. Though he works with the Syrian opposition, he chooses to hold no political or religious biases. He, like many others, just wants Assad out of power.
